This is ARK of Beauty’s privacy policy, we are located at 24 Freehold Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 5HY, United Kingdom and you can email us at info@arkofbeauty.co.uk.  This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information that we collect about you and why we collect it.

What Information Do We Need?

We need your contact details, your:  name, phone number, address, postcode and email address.  We will also need information about your age and health in order for a treatment to go ahead.

Why Do We Need It?  How Will We Use It and How Long Will We Retain It?

We need all of the details above in order to ensure that it is safe for us to provide the treatments that you may ask for and also for insurance purposes.  We will store your information for 7 years after the date of your treatment, or for 7 years after you have reached the age of 18 if you are/were under 18 when your treatment took place.  Our lawful basis for processing this personal information is ‘contract’, this means that we have a legal reason to ask you for your data because we need it for contractual reasons.  You do not have to share your personal data with us, but if you do not we cannot offer you a treatment with ARK of Beauty.  You must fulfil your side of the contract (share your personal information) in order for us to fulfil ours (carry out treatment).

Marketing

We would also like to send you information about the products and services we offer using the information you have shared with us, but you do not have to agree to this for treatment to go ahead.  At your appointment we will ask you if you agree to being contacted for marketing purposes using the following methods:

Post
Email (including appointment reminders)
SMS (including appointment reminders)
Automated Phone Call

and if you do we will ask you to opt-in via a paper form.  You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us at info@arkofbeauty.co.uk or calling us on 07935911184.

We would also like to be able to use selected anonymised photographs (such as before and after pictures) of some of work on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) and our web page – www.arkofbeauty.co.uk – to promote our services.

Will We Share Your Information

We use an online booking system called Timely which allows you as a customer to book your appointment at a time convenient to you.  It also allows us to send you reminder SMS and email messages for your convenience as part of the service that we offer.  For information on Timely GDPR compliance please see their web page https://www.gettimely.com/blog/getting-ready-gdpr/.

We offer you the facility to pay for your treatments via a PayPal Here terminal which means that we do not need to take your card details.  All PayPal transactions are subject to the PayPal Privacy Policy which you can find on the following web site - https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-prev.

We use Wix to build and host our ARK of Beauty web site.  As per most web sites Wix use cookies as part of their web page templates.  You can find Wix Privacy Policy here - https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

We will not share your information with anyone else outside of ARK of Beauty.

Who Can I Complain To If I Feel You Are Not Handling My Data Correctly?
